Dr. Paul Haris, President
Dr. Haris is Chairman and CEO of RTD Embedded Technologies, Inc. Prior to joining RTD as Vice President of Engineering, Dr. Haris was a Captain in the United States Air Force conducting micro-satellite research at Phillips Laboratories and teaching Physics as an Associate Professor at the US Air Force Academy. His experience includes laser technologies, electromagnetic theory, systems design, corporate management, and leadership training. During his time with the PC/104 Consortium, Dr. Haris chaired the Technical Committee for three years. Dr. Haris earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University specializing in atmospheric remote sensing with lasers. He has conducted extensive field research from the Andoya Rocket Range, Norway above the Artic Circle to Antarctica. He also holds an MBA specializing in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Matthias Huber, European Vice President
Matthias Huber is a degreed Engineer in Precision- and Micro-Engineering (University of Applied Sciences, Munich, Germany). Over the last decade, Huber has served in a variety of different positions ranging from being a member the R&D team of Boards (now Kontron) to General Manager of Jumptec Inc. (now Kontron). As of January 1, 2008, Huber was named as the General Manager of the Embedded Modules Division leading the Kontron America team at the company's facility in Northern California's Silicon Valley.
Cameron Swen, Secretary/Treasurer
Cameron Swen is the Segment Marketing Manager responsible for embedded Single Board Computing marketing at AMD. He is responsible for market analysis and specifying silicon and reference design solutions to help OEMs and SBC vendors to come to market quickly with the right products. He started his career 15 years ago as an engineer working with embedded computer systems and has been responsible for technical and product marketing at National Semiconductor and AMD for the last 7 years.
Alexander Buravlev, Board Member
Alexander Buravlev is sales director at Fastwel Co. Ltd in Moscow, Russia, where he drives strategic sales. Prior to Fastwel, he worked for Intel Corp. in project development and sales of the IA-32, network processors, and other wireline and wireless silicons. Before Intel, Alexander worked at Philips Semiconductors in sales/project development of Philips chips in the industrial, identification, and communications segments. He received his education in the field of Solid State Physics, then later received his PhD in Semiconductors Technology. Alexander can be reached at buravlev@fastwel.com.
Matthias Fellhauer, Board Member
Matthias Fellhauer is the Design Manager for Lippert Embedded Computers. His responsibilities extend far beyond the regular design process. After he started working for Lippert Embedded Computer in 1989 as a hardware engineer, he was quickly know as the jack of all trades.Over the years he has progressed continuously forward and due to his dedication to the company, he has become head of engineering. His experience and knowledge of electronics and the direct open contact with customers have made him a valued and devoted member of the Lippert family for almost 20 years.
Lee Foss, Board Member
Lee Foss is founder and CTO of AMP Ltd in Cambridge, England. Prior to formation of AMP Ltd, Lee worked in the electronics industry as a designer and innovator with special interest in broadcast digital video. Lee has over 20 years experience of working in the electronics industry.
